Leibster Award Nomination!

Thank you thank you THANK YOU!

Thank you thank you THANK YOU!

Thank you to Jennifer from My Beautiful World in Pictures for the Leibster Award Nomination. What a great way to be initiated into this crazy digital world! Seeing as I am fairly new to blogging (just under a year isn’t that long!) it is nice to see that I capture the interest of those other than my family and friends (but I still love you guys, thank you for your support!). In order to accept this nomination, I have to link Jennifer’s blog into this post and answer 11 questions about myself from a list that she has compiled! So, here they are:

1. If you were described in one word, what would that be?

Determined. I used this word to describe myself during the interview process for my job now, and it’s true. Even before I knew what it meant, this word described me. I was born premature (as my parents and boyfriend will lovingly embarrassingly tell you at every birthday/ christmas/ special occasion) and my parents were told not to expect much from their new baby girl. Apart from being tiny and breathing funny, I was in perfect condition! I’m still pretty petite too (especially next to James who is 6 ft 4″) and I am proud to be where I am today.

2. What are the Top 10 items on your dream list?

I don’t really have a Top 10 list. There’s always a few things I’d like to buy floating around in my head, but I think that my dream is to be happy, and for all of my loved ones to be happy too. Eventually I’d like to go back home and settle down, too (that would make one person I know the happiest!) 😉

3. If money were no object, what would you be doing today?

The exact same thing that I am doing right now. Lying in bed blogging, with a candle lit and chatting to my friend Jane, preparing for our flight to London tomorrow. Contrary to popular opinion, this job is amazing, but the pay is not what I am accustomed to. This doesn’t bother me too much, this experience is a once-in-a-lifetime kind of thing and I am grateful to be a part of it all!

4. If you had a super power, what would it be?

I’d have two (because I am that awesome!) I always used to want to be tiny like in “Honey I Shrunk the Kids” so I could eat all the food in our pantry and it would be giant, and ride ants! But now, I think it would have to be teleportation. It would be so nice to snap my fingers and be able to go home for a cuddle instead of flying 11 hours to get there.

5. What is the most indulgent food you have ever eaten?

Most likely a fried Mars Bar from Bondi Beach on a Sydney layover, but James and I have also eaten those things from KFC that consists of two pieces of fried chicken with a piece of bacon in the middle! I am not even ashamed of that!

6. What is one thing most people don’t know about you?

There’s lots of things that people don’t know about me! But if i tell you all they won’t be secrets anymore 😉

7. If you were to write a book, what would you call it and what would it be about?

It would be called “A Page in the Life of Taylor” and it would be my memoirs!

8. What is the scariest thing you have ever done?

That would have to be a cross between leaving home to start a life in the Middle East, and Bungee Jumping in Whistler, Vancouver!

9. What accomplishment are you most proud of?

Another hybrid between graduating from my probationary period with my airline, and my upcoming graduation for my Bachelor of Arts majoring in English and Cultural Studies!

10. Do you think people can control their own destiny?

Yes, to a certain extent. No one can control the future, but you can control your attitude and I think that  it influences the events that happen in your life. It is all about your mindset!

11. How did you get into blogging?

By reading other blogs! I wanted to keep in touch with my world at home and this seemed like the best way to do so! I also read my friend Rachel’s Blog a lot, The Dubai Diaries: Check it out here!

I am yet to tag the other 11 bloggers, I will do so after my flight tomorrow, I should get some sleep! I will post my 11 questions to other bloggers then, too! So blessed to be nominated, and thanks for reading! x
